The Lost Blogs Now Shipping!

Filed under: News, Announcements — Paul Davidson @ 4:56 pm

People are starting to get their Lost Blogs!

If you pre-ordered from Amazon.com or other online retailers, if you haven’t already received your copy you should probably get it within a few days — almost a week before the actual book hits regular brick & mortar stores near you. And if you did order the book from Amazon.com, you’ll also be able to access my Amazon Blog, which includes some behind-the-scenes tidbits about the making of the book and how it came to be. However, if you didn’t order the book on Amazon you can still access this extra content about the book on my Amazon profile page.

With one week left until the official in-store release of the book, there should be more to tell you here about the different things I’ll be doing to promote the book. Starting the week of May 8th, watch this space for specific information about Lost Blogs buzz in print, on the radio and on TV.

The Lost Blogs in Sports Illustrated

Filed under: Press — Paul Davidson @ 4:53 pm

The May 1st issue of Sports Illustrated (hitting stands tomorrow) mentions The Lost Blogs in their Scorecard section.

“If Tommy Lasorda can have his own blog, then why can’t Abner Doubleday? Well, he’s been dead for 113 years. Enter writer Paul Davidson, who imagined e-ramblings from 175 late historical figures–including Wilt Chamberlain and Babe Ruth–in The Lost Blogs: From Jesus to Jim Morrison. (The book hits shelves on May 8.) Among the revelations in Davidson’s faux musings: Chamberlain met his 14,373rd girlfriend while in line for a hot dog, and the man credited with inventing baseball found it utterly boring. When it comes to watching a game, writes Davidson as Doubleday, “I would rather get shot in the neck with a bullet. And I was, during the Battle of Gettysburg.”
