It’s Here!

Filed under: Announcements — Paul Davidson @ 7:45 am

The Lost Blogs is now available everywhere!

That means if you walk into a Tower Books or a Barnes & Noble or a Border’s Book Store or Powell’s Books… You’ll probably find it. That means if you go to Amazon.com or Booksamillion.com or a million other sites that sell books to you, the lazy consumer…you’ll probably get it. That means that if you were to scream from the mountaintops something like, “Hey, anyone got a copy of The Lost Blogs for sale?” and everyone who had a copy of The Lost Blogs for sale could hear you… They’d probably say something like, “Yeah, we do.”

Although you wouldn’t hear it because you’d be so high up on a mountaintop, but you get the idea.

The Lost Blogs Now Shipping!

Filed under: News, Announcements — Paul Davidson @ 4:56 pm

People are starting to get their Lost Blogs!

If you pre-ordered from Amazon.com or other online retailers, if you haven’t already received your copy you should probably get it within a few days — almost a week before the actual book hits regular brick & mortar stores near you. And if you did order the book from Amazon.com, you’ll also be able to access my Amazon Blog, which includes some behind-the-scenes tidbits about the making of the book and how it came to be. However, if you didn’t order the book on Amazon you can still access this extra content about the book on my Amazon profile page.

With one week left until the official in-store release of the book, there should be more to tell you here about the different things I’ll be doing to promote the book. Starting the week of May 8th, watch this space for specific information about Lost Blogs buzz in print, on the radio and on TV.

Welcome to the WOMP

Filed under: Announcements — Paul Davidson @ 8:46 pm

Let this be my heartfelt welcome to you, dear visitor, to the Official Website for the upcoming book The Lost Blogs: From Jesus to Jim Morrison.

Made up of 175 blogs “as written” by history’s most famous historical figures, the book imagines what the world might have been like if blogging and the Internet had been around since the dawn of time. From Jesus to Jim Morrison, from Nixon to Jesse James, from Charles Lindburgh to Joan of Arc — The Lost Blogs has them all.

In imagining the above scenario, I set out to also imagine the organization that might have been responsible for pulling together such historical documents and The World Organization for Manuscript Preservation was born. Take some time to look around and learn just how the W.O.M.P. came to be, what they’re all about, and while doing so you’ll learn more about the humor of The Lost Blogs through excerpts, press clippings, the WOMP store, video and more!

In the coming weeks leading up to the release of The Lost Blogs and thereafter, this site will keep you updated on news, appearances, signings and press as they relate to the book. I hope such details will whet your appetite for the book itself, and convince you to spread the word about this labour of love.

Thanks for visiting and thanks for getting lost with me.
